Fit and buying advice
The RM-SG is a flat 18 × 24-inch model. Compare a folding mat if storage space is the main problem, or a larger mat if your ruler and yardage exceed the supported work area.
Questions about this tool
Are both sides marked?
The listing describes one gridded face and one plain face.
Can I treat the grid as the cutting edge?
Use it to line up fabric. Keep the wheel against a separate ruler when you need a straight cut.
What makes this a different choice from a folding mat?
The surface is a fixed sheet and suits a workspace where you can store it flat.
